Ideas & Article Queue

Queue editorial opportunities ahead of time, with optional Autopilot coverage for an otherwise empty publishing day.

Ideas are proposals, not finished assignments. Tallpine builds them from your Site Profile and Content Strategy, plus active Keywords and any Sources selected for that generation run. In Review first, you decide which Ideas deserve an Article. In active Autopilot, your queued work still goes first; Tallpine adds one included Idea each local day and prepares the next eligible Idea into an Article.

Generate a Batch of Ideas

1. Open Ideas.
2. Choose Generate Ideas or Generate More Ideas.
3. Optionally select Sources that should ground this batch. Your Site Profile, Content Strategy, and active Keywords are used automatically.
4. Choose between 1 and 10 Ideas.
5. Start generation and follow its progress in the Activity center.

Each request uses one Idea batch, whether you ask for 1 Idea or 10. A smaller batch can be easier to review; a larger batch can be useful when you want more editorial options ready in the queue. See Billing for allowance details.

Active Autopilot creates one included Idea for each operational Site on each local day. It retries bounded failures and keeps existing queue order. These daily Ideas are separate from the manual monthly Idea-batch pool, so manual generation cannot prevent Autopilot from preparing its daily supply.

The Source selection is saved with the Ideas from that run. If an Idea later becomes an Article, Tallpine carries those Sources into Article generation. There is no second Source picker when you create the Article. Learn how to prepare and classify material in the Sources guide.

Review the Results

Use the filters at the top of Ideas to focus your review:

• Review: newly generated Ideas waiting for a decision
• Approved: Ideas accepted for Article creation
• Passed: Ideas you decided not to pursue

Each generated Idea includes a proposed title, angle, target Keywords, and estimated length. Check that the angle serves your audience, does not duplicate an existing Article, and can be supported by reliable evidence.

Ideas approved by the Site policy carry an Approved by Autopilot label. Existing pending Ideas are not approved retroactively when you enable Autopilot. If Autopilot is selected but setup is incomplete, new results fail closed into Review.

Approve, Pass, or Select Several

• Approve Article accepts one Idea and places it in the Article queue.
• Pass sets an Idea aside. Add a reason when it will help explain the editorial decision later.
• Approve All approves every Idea currently awaiting review.
• Choose Ideas lets you select several Ideas for a bulk decision.

Approval does not use an Article. Tallpine counts an Article only when Article generation actually begins.

There are two approval gates in Review first: Idea approval lets Tallpine spend an Article allowance when capacity is available. The finished Draft still stays private until you approve it for publishing or make another explicit delivery decision. Approval can lead to public delivery only after that separate publishing decision.

How the Managed Queue Works

Approved Ideas enter the Site's managed Article queue. You can reorder them to control which Article Tallpine works on first. Workers claim queued work as account allowance and Pipeline execution capacity become available.

A healthy primary Connection and daily publishing time are required for hands-off delivery, not for Article preparation. If either is missing, Tallpine can still generate the Article as allowance and Pipeline capacity become available, then hold the finished Draft until delivery setup is saved. Set these up in Publishing & Queue.

Autopilot requires both delivery prerequisites before it becomes active. Tallpine starts with a recommended daily time, which you can change at any time. The queue still publishes at most one Article per local day.

Add Your Own Idea

Choose Add Idea when you already know what should be written. A manually added Idea does not enter the Review filter first; it goes directly into the Article queue. This is useful for timely announcements, required campaign topics, and briefs developed outside Tallpine.

Before adding it, make the title and angle specific enough to guide a full Article. If the Article must use particular private material, generate an Idea with those Sources selected so the relationship is preserved.

Duplicate Protection

Tallpine compares generated candidates with existing Ideas, Articles, and known pages from your own Site to reduce obvious repetition. This is a safeguard, not a guarantee. Similar search intent can still produce overlapping angles, so keep the final editorial decision with a person.

Build a Stronger Queue

• Complete the Site Profile and Content Strategy before generating.
• Use focused Sources only when they are genuinely relevant to the batch.
• In Review first, approve selectively. In Autopilot, queue priorities ahead of time and monitor the next automatic Article.
• Reorder approved Ideas when priorities, campaigns, or timing change.
• Review every generated claim in the resulting Draft, even when the Idea itself looked strong.
