Create Articles

Turn approved Ideas into complete Drafts through the managed queue or an advanced one-time setup.

Most Sites can use the managed queue for routine Article creation. Use the Create Articles page when selected Articles need different length, tone, or Images.

Review first and Autopilot use the same Article Pipeline, allowance, and account-wide concurrency controls. The mode changes who approves new Ideas and finished Drafts, not how Articles are metered or written.

Option 1: Use the Managed Queue

Choose Approve Article from Ideas to add an Idea to the Site's queue. Approval itself does not use an Article. Tallpine workers claim queued work when all of the following are ready:

• The account has Article allowance remaining
• The account has available Article Pipeline execution capacity

If allowance or Pipeline execution capacity is unavailable, the Idea waits safely. A primary Connection and daily publishing time are optional at this stage. They are not required for writing to begin; without them, Tallpine holds the finished Draft until delivery setup is saved. You can reorder the queue from Publishing to decide what should be created next. See Ideas & Article Queue and Publishing & Queue for setup.

Active Autopilot leaves queued Ideas and Articles in front while adding one included Idea for the Site each local day. It uses the next eligible Idea to prepare the daily Article. Review first starts only Ideas a person explicitly approved.

Option 2: Use Create Articles

The advanced Create Articles page lets you select one or more approved Ideas and apply one shared set of one-time settings. Each selected Idea becomes its own queued Article Job.

1. Open Create Articles and select the approved Ideas to create.
2. Choose shared length, tone, and Image settings.
3. Review the Article allowance shown for the full selection.
4. Start the selected Articles and follow each one in Activity.

The request enters Tallpine's managed queue as independent Article Jobs. The queue accepts all selected Ideas covered by the remaining Article allowance; Pipeline execution capacity determines how many run at once.

Generation Settings

• Word Count: choose a target from 500 to 3,000 words. The final length may vary when the subject needs more or less space.
• Tone: choose Professional, Casual, Conversational, or Technical. Tallpine also uses the context in the Site Profile.
• Include Images: choose whether Tallpine should try to source or generate supporting visuals. See Media for supported inputs and Image generation limits.

Sources are inherited from the Idea

Create Articles does not have a new Source selector. Tallpine uses the Sources that were selected when each Idea was generated. This preserves the editorial evidence behind the Idea and prevents a later start from silently changing its grounding.

If an Article needs different material, return to Ideas and generate a new batch with the intended Sources. See Using Sources.

Publishing Queue

Every Article you create keeps its position in the Site's publication queue. The first ready Article publishes at the Site's daily time. You can reorder waiting work or select any ready Articles to publish now from the Publishing page. Unselected Articles keep their automatic dates. Manual publishing does not consume the automatic daily slot or charge Article allowance a second time.

A working Connection is required before remote delivery. In Review first, a finished Draft receives a separate Needs approval state. Review it and choose Approve for publishing; the confirmation explains that public delivery can follow without another click. Active Autopilot records that approval from the Site policy and labels its provenance.

What Happens During Generation

The Article Pipeline combines the approved Idea with the Site Profile, Content Strategy, the Idea's stored target Keywords, and its inherited Sources. Active Keywords guide Idea generation; the target Keywords stored with each Idea carry into its Article even if the Site's Active Keywords change later. Progress moves through research, outlining, writing, and Image work when enabled, followed by completion checks.

When generation succeeds, the Draft normally includes:

• A complete Article in Markdown
• A title, excerpt, slug, and SEO metadata
• Target Keywords
• Supporting Images placed in the content when requested and found

These are starting materials for editorial review, not a guarantee that every claim, link, image, or recommendation is ready to publish. Continue with Review & Edit. Autopilot does not require a click on every Draft, so establish a regular monitoring practice and pause it when the Site's evidence or direction changes.

Allowance and Pipeline Capacity

An approved Idea does not use an Article while it waits. Create Articles reserves the Article allowance for each selected Job when the request is accepted. Jobs can wait in the managed queue for an open Pipeline slot; execution capacity does not reject otherwise eligible queued work.

Temporary provider or network errors may be retried automatically. If generation ultimately fails, the reserved Article is returned automatically. Delivery and ZIP export do not use another Article. See Billing for the full usage rules.

Follow Progress and Recover

Each Article appears as its own background activity. You can move around Tallpine while work continues. Activity shows whether the Article is waiting, running, complete, or needs attention; the Article queue and Publishing show the broader creation and delivery order.

If work fails after its automatic attempts, open the failure details before trying again. Check the Connection for a delivery failure, or review the Site, Sources, and Idea when content generation could not complete.

Use the managed queue for dependable daily publishing. Use Create Articles when one or more Drafts need explicit shared settings or human review before delivery.
